Join Rocketown and its founder, Michael W. Smith, for a night full of food and laughter at Rocketown’s annual Comedy for a Cause dinner and auction.
This is the time of year when we let loose and express our gratitude for every youth who engages with volunteers and staff through programs and activities at Rocketown.
This year’s event will be hosted by renowned comedian Aaron Weber. Aaron Weber is a standup comedian based in Nashville, TN. Born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama, Weber is a regular performer at the world-famous Grand Ole Opry. He made his debut in 2019 at the age of twenty-eight, making him the youngest standup comedian ever to step into the Opry circle. Later that year, he made his television debut on the Opry’s Circle Network, hosting two episodes of Stand-Up Nashville.
You can currently hear Aaron on The Nateland Podcast with Nate Bargatze, Dusty Slay and Brian Bates, on which the four Nashville-based comedians tackle important world issues like animals, calendars, and Rhode Island. Weber headlines comedy clubs across the country and has featured on the road for comedians such as Nate Bargatze, Kathleen Madigan and Bert Kreischer. He graduated from Notre Dame in 2014 and still owes them thousands of dollars – he promises to pay them back when they win a National Championship.

Star Society Members receive special recognition in the event program.
The Star Society is an elite group of donors that play a critical role in sustaining the work of the ministry. Star Society members include anyone who donates $1,000 or more in unrestricted gifts in a calendar year (gifts can be monthly or one-time). The Star Society receives special recognition throughout the year and exclusive benefits such as a prime promotional spot in the program booklet at Comedy for a Cause. Final gift must be made two weeks before Comedy for a Cause to be included in this year’s event.
